    MOTHERS CAN BE BEAUTIFUL TOO

Being a mother may be the hardest job in the world, but motherhood is without doubt the most beautiful thing in the world.

I think motherhood is a job that requires real talent in itself. Because you need to be a good mother, well-groomed, stylish and on top of the trends, all at the same time. Ooooh, that’s a lot of “and”s! And lest we forget (being a good wife is our first duty).

There’s no end to these “and”s, ladies, at least not for me.

Know that just because we have become mothers, we are not obliged to accept a neglected, tired and worn-out look. All you have to do is want it. Because, of course, there is nothing we women cannot do once we set our minds to it.

There are two kinds of mother we can choose to be.

The first has a beautiful, happy face, blow-dried hair lifting in the breeze and a slim body that looks as if she never gave birth. A Louis Vuitton bag hanging from one arm and the baby carried in the free arm, just like Hollywood stars (the happy and healthy mother model).

The second is a mother who, although she cares about personal hygiene, has messy hair and wears careless clothes. She goes about with a tired, worn-out expression (the “oh, my poor mother” model).

“So what are we supposed to do? We didn’t sleep all night, and as if that weren’t enough, we’re busy with chores until evening,” I can almost hear you say. In fact, many of us go through all of this. But what matters here is your choice. During the sleepless nights I had after becoming a mother, I set these two options in front of me and thought about them. Of course, I chose the first. Then I began researching how to achieve big things in small pockets of time. I want to share with you a few of the methods I have used.

Ways to stay well-groomed as a mother

TIP 1: First, I took advantage of the benefits of breast milk for my skin. Breast milk adds radiance and vitality to the skin. In this way it boosts collagen and helps reduce wrinkles. And if you have pregnancy marks, you can get rid of them with breast milk. I have an easy mask recipe made with breast milk; I think everyone has heard of this mask. Mix 2 tablespoons of breast milk with 1 egg yolk and you can apply it every day.

TIP 2: You can use the peels of the vegetables and fruit you chop as masks. Cucumber peels, for example, are good for puffiness under the eyes. Lemon juice gives the skin radiance. Pineapple even reduces wrinkles.

TIP 3: Always remove your make-up before going to bed in the evening; never forget. Because our clean skin renews itself while we sleep. And when you wake up in the morning, wash your face with ice-cold water. Cold water wipes away puffiness and a tired look.

TIP 4: The easiest way to lose the baby weight is breastfeeding. Breastfeed your little ones plenty and drink lots of water. That is exactly how I lost a full 17 kilos. Because the calories burned while breastfeeding come to around 500-700 a day. This amount of calories equals an hour of moderate exercise. I say this to those who say “I can’t exercise, I can’t lose my baby weight”.

TIP 5: Put together a few lifesaver outfits for yourself. That way, instead of wondering what to wear, you can use your ready-made outfit and look very stylish in a few minutes.

    Let’s drop the excuses

So, what do you think now, ladies? No more hiding behind excuses, right?

As you can see, there is a way for everything. It is up to you to choose the path you take. Do not be afraid to meet your own eyes when you look in the mirror. Instead, every time you look in the mirror, say: motherhood suits me, have I become even more beautiful or what?

Always be positive, and remember: eyes that look beautifully see beauty. A mother who feels happy in body and soul becomes a more helpful, more patient and more loving mother to her child and her husband. Now find out what does you good. Just want it, ladies; wanting is half of achieving. What kind of mother do you want to be? What would make you happy?

A happy mother equals a happy family and healthy children.

By the way, you don’t think I’m sitting at a table with a hot coffee while writing this, do you?

On one side, for instance, I’m breastfeeding Kuzey. On the other, I’m helping Ilhan, who wants to make a paper aeroplane. On top of that, I’m answering my husband’s questions. Yet I’m one person, I only have two arms, so why act like an octopus? By the way, did you know how self-sacrificing octopuses are?

Ladies, nothing is easy, but if we want to, remember, every one of us is an Adriana Lima.
