Murat Aytulum enchants fashion lovers every year, because his shows are bursting with colour and energy.
And sure enough, this year he was back with us once again with his vivid colours.
Murat Aytulum graduated from the Set and Costume Design department of the Theatre Department at Dokuz Eylül University. Early in his fashion design journey, he also won third prize in the LEATHER GARMENT DESIGN COMPETITION organised by Ezgi Ajans. At the start of his career he worked as an editor and art director in the advertising industry. After achieving many successes, he decided to set up his own brand.
2010. After founding his brand, he created collections many times over. He put his signature to many projects and promoted his brand. He also took part in many editions of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Istanbul, bringing his collections to fashion lovers.

The Murat Aytulum show and the designer’s journey
Designer Murat Aytulum graduated from the Set and Costume Design department of the Theatre Department at Dokuz Eylül University. This theatre-rooted education is also reflected in the bold use of colour in his collections and in a visual language made for the stage. At the start of his career he worked as an editor and art director in the advertising industry. He then won third prize in a leather garment design competition, and in 2010 he founded his own brand.
Since then, Aytulum has created many collections. He has also appeared many times on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul programme. In the Spring/Summer 2020 season, for example, he once again greeted fashion lovers with vivid colours.
Reading a colourful collection
Spring/summer collections hit the runway ahead of the season, usually the previous autumn. In these seasons, lightweight fabrics and bright colours also come to the fore more often. When watching a collection full of colour, it is worth looking at how the colours are balanced together. It is also worth looking at which pieces are strong enough to wear on their own. Look, too, at how the accessories support this energy. That way you will enjoy reading the show all the more.
