The Linexpo lingerie fair brings visitors from Turkey and abroad together with the new collections of the lingerie and hosiery sector at IFM from 5 to 8 February.
New Trends in Lingerie Design Will Be at the Lingerie Fair – Linexpo
Linexpo (Lingerie Fair) will take place at IFM (Istanbul Expo Center) from 5 to 8 February. The fair will host many visitors coming from around the world. As every year, thousands of visitors will come to Linexpo this year too. These visitors will come from countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and through the orders they place they will also help to revive the economy. In addition, guests visiting the fair from within Turkey will also contribute to the economy.
On the subject, Linexpo Fair Committee Chairman Eşref Geyik said the following: our lingerie fair, which we have held successfully for many years, will be of considerable economic benefit to our country this year, as it is every year.
Exhibiting companies will present their newly released collections to the thousands of visitors attending the fair, who will come from abroad and from within Turkey. Exhibitors will also help with any special orders they request. The lingerie sector exported close to 7 billion dollars’ worth last year and has raised its target to 8 billion dollars this year.
STRONG DEMAND FROM MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES
Promotional work for the fair continued throughout the year. Linexpo’s launch reached not only audiences in Turkey but also many countries abroad. For example, people chosen by the fair committee travelled country by country to carry out promotions, and advertising campaigns ran in many countries. This year around 170 companies will take part in the fair, which covers an area of 15,000 m2. What’s more, visitor numbers have risen by around 30 per cent over the years. The Linexpo Istanbul lingerie and hosiery fair reaches the whole world. The fair targets lingerie exports above all to Germany, the UK, Europe, Russia, the Middle East and African countries. It ranks second in the world and first in Europe.
This year around 6,000 visitors will come to the fair from abroad and around 5,000 from within Turkey. In addition, Linexpo brings together TİGSAD, the Lingerie Manufacturers’ Association, and ÇSD, the Hosiery Manufacturers’ Association, under one roof.
The opening speeches of the fair will be given at 11.00 on the morning of 5 February by Mr Eşref Geyik (LİNEXPO Fair Committee Chairman), Mustafa Nazik (TİGSAD President), Mr Mustafa Gültepe (İHKİB President), İsmail Gülle (TİM President) and Ahmet Öksüz (İTHİB President). The presidents and board members of TİGSAD, ÇSD, TGSD, TRİSAD, LASİAD, OTİAD, MESİAD, BETİAD, BMD, KYSD, ÖRSAD, TTTSD and İNSAD will also attend the opening. The presentation will be hosted by Burcu Esmersoy.
