At first glance, extravagant pieces seem to belong only to the night. With the right balance, however, you can wear them during the day too. You can pair a sequinned or embellished piece with simple jeans. A plain T-shirt or a simple knit also works well. This is the easiest way to tone down the look. Sequins and spangles have a very long history, with the first examples dating back thousands of years. Since the 1920s, sequins have been an indispensable embellishment of eveningwear.
