On the Fraules dancehall choreography and dancehall dance

According to the dancer’s own notes, this choreography draws heavily on inspiration from Shelly Xpressionz of the dancehall scene, and it is designed mainly for couples. Elena Fraules has also long been inspired by Camron One-shot, and she writes that dancing with him in the same video was a dream. On camera are Alena Fominikh and Pasha Trutnev, with Fraules and Pasha Trutnev on editing.

Dancehall is a music genre born in Jamaica. It is also an energetic dance culture that developed alongside this music. Hip and torso movements, for example, are among the recognisable features of the dance, as are steps tightly bound to the rhythm and move names that change from song to song. Today there are dancehall workshops in many cities around the world, and choreographies spread rapidly on social media. In couple choreographies, both dancers must catch the rhythm together and leave space for each other, which is why far more rehearsal is needed than for a solo dance.

Dance is a form of movement loved by models and fashion enthusiasts alike, and a fun way to keep the body flexible and in shape.
