THE KEY RULES FOR LOOKING GOOD AT THE GYM

At the gym — being stylish and looking elegant always and everywhere is in our nature as women. But, as we all know, when we exercise we sweat, we can’t wear make-up and we can’t swan around with blow-dried hair.

THE KEY RULES FOR LOOKING GOOD AT THE GYM

How can we look good while staying both natural and suited to exercise?
First, we’ve signed up for the gym. Next, we go shopping. The first rule to pay attention to is the choice of shoes. For example, we can’t run in basketball shoes. That is why we should choose running shoes that keep our feet comfortable while we work out.

THE KEY RULES FOR LOOKING GOOD AT THE GYM

It is possible to achieve the ideal look in a sportswear outfit that is both stylish and fit for exercise. We should also make sure that, as well as making us sweat, the fabrics of the pieces we choose can breathe, and that they are not tighter on us than they should be.

Alongside brands that have made a name for themselves in sportswear, such as Nike, Adidas, Puma and New Balance, many brands that produce everyday clothing are also taking their place in the shop windows this season with sports collections. For example, Zara, Bershka and Mango offer ideal sports outfits with their designs and comfort. In addition, Victoria Secret, a brand that becomes legendary with everything it does, produces very stylish designs with Victoria Secret Sports.

Wouldn’t you like to look slim, fit and stylish too?

Besides all this, top of the list of things not to do is definitely walking around the gym in heavy make-up. Because even a thin foundation applied to our face will do your skin a lot of harm the moment you sweat. In short, my ideal workout make-up is a thin eyeliner with mascara and a light tinted lip gloss.

Let your blow-dry survive. Whether our hair is wavy or straight, we can make sure our blow-dry isn’t ruined by gathering it into a high ponytail. And let’s not forget to take off jewellery such as bracelets and earrings as far as possible, bearing in mind both the chance of losing them and the chance of them getting in the way. In fact, let’s stay away from jewellery altogether, including our watches.

Gym gloves are a must if you’re lifting weights!

Because, as we know, we shouldn’t touch bars and dumbbells used by so many people with bare hands. You can keep your Amazonian look while you work out too.
You can also use sports wristbands as well as gloves. They will be especially useful for absorbing sweat.

I recommend never letting exercise and style go missing from your life. With cropped tank bodysuits, colourful new-season leggings, eye-catching trainers and sports accessories, the gyms are waiting for you. Let’s not forget that the first rule of looking good is having a good frame to hang your clothes on — and the road to that runs through the gym. I wish you days full of exercise and shopping.

Practical ways to look good at the gym

Looking good during a workout is mostly about feeling comfortable and good. Breathable fabrics that fit the body without restricting movement both manage sweat and pull the look together. Another secret of looking good at the gym is hygiene: a personal towel, a water bottle and a clean training bag are essentials for every visit. Keeping make-up to a minimum and moisturising the skin also helps the skin feel comfortable after a workout.

What’s more, regular exercise contributes to health beyond appearance. The World Health Organization recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity a week for adults; details are in the WHO’s physical activity fact sheet.
