In our Victoria Rader style review, we take a look at the influencer known for her blunt blonde bob and bold outfits, and at how she interprets the season’s pieces.
We reviewed Victoria Rader’s style
She is the influencer known on Instagram as @vikyandthekid, with 301k followers. What’s more, she has been attracting attention with her blog posts and Instagram posts since 2014.
Her Instagram account has been a visual feast lately in particular. Her photo shoots, outfits, make-up and the blunt blonde bob that has become her trademark are all part of this feast, and she dazzles with up-to-date, fearless and cool style moves.
The season’s most prominent colours are natural tones: beige, cinnamon, dark chocolate, walnut, creamy caramel tones and yellowish browns are hugely on trend in the 2019-2020 winter season. Viky takes on this trend in a cool way, blending different styles with pieces and accessories. Here are a few of her outfits you can take inspiration from ..

On to another of Viky’s inspiring outfits
This year, as last year, houndstooth is everywhere. It has become impossible not to see this print on skirts, jackets, dresses, sheer blouses, bags, headbands and hats — especially sailor caps.. You will surely have spotted it at Zara in particular.. Ecru and black stand out most in this print, though you can see plenty of other shades too.. Viky wears the print as a suit, then adds colour with a light brown roll-neck knit and a thin belt. She has also added the chunky-toe platform boots that are so on trend this season. You can adapt this outfit for work, or finish it with trainers for everyday life.. By the way, houndstooth jackets look fantastic with jeans too..

This time Victoria Rader appears in a grey jacket and skirt with a subtle check pattern.
She gives the classic suit a modern, casual feel with a T-shirt. The most striking piece in this outfit is one of the most popular trends of recent times: Prada combat boots! (PRADA Leather Platform Combat Boots)
They are chunky, clunky, thick-soled, lace-up boots that come above the knee, with pouches attached to the outer calf. In other words, a rougher version of Dr. Martens.. Lately we have started to see them on Turkish influencers too. If you want a more affordable and slightly simpler version, you can find one at Zara in the new season, for example.

This time Victoria catches the eye with a zebra-print jumper and a matching beanie.
Zebra print has indeed held its influence since last year. She keeps the zebra print far from boring with the brightest, most striking shade of mustard, making the print even cooler. In this way you can add colour to your zebra-print clothes and make a difference. And of course, the oversized shield-effect sunglasses make her outfit bold and daring.

Leather.. Leather.. Definitely one of this season’s must-have pieces.
She has brightened up her leather culottes with a candyfloss-pink silk satin shirt, softening the allure of leather into something sweeter and creating a contrasting outfit. She has also achieved a cohesive look with her chunky-toe boots meeting the hem of the trousers. By the way, faux leather pieces are definitely among the things to buy this season. They are sexy and eye-catching, and pretty cool when dressed down. So this winter you can opt not only for black leather but also for burgundy and brown tones.

Tips from the Victoria Rader style review
- Layering with neutral tones: Use beige, caramel and brown tones together. This creates a rich look even with simple pieces.
- The suit idea in a print: A houndstooth suit works both as a work outfit and as an everyday look.
- Heavy boots, light pieces: Thick-soled boots create a modern contrast when paired with a classic jacket and skirt.
- Animal print and bright colour: Zebra print stops being boring when combined with a bright tone such as mustard.
