Why is Zeki Müren commemorated in Bursa?
Zeki Müren, one of the best-loved voices of Turkish classical music, was born in Bursa in 1931 and died in İzmir in 1996. Known by the nickname “the Sun of Art”, the artist is remembered not only for his voice but also for his unique stage presence. It is therefore no surprise that an event held in his memory brought a fashion show and a concert together. Indeed, the models and artists who attended the Zeki Müren commemoration in Bursa began the day by visiting his tomb in Emir Sultan. The day then continued with fashion shows presenting the Diva Sposa and Recep Demiray collections and with concerts by the artists.
