French fashion house Chloé unveiled its Festive 2026 campaign for the holiday season in the first days of November 2026. The campaign’s sole face is German model Claudia Schiffer, one of the most recognisable names of the 1990s supermodel generation. The images were shot by photographer David Sims under the direction of the house’s creative director, Chemena Kamali. The holiday collection accompanying the campaign has been on sale in Chloé boutiques and on the brand’s website since the beginning of November.

This is not Schiffer’s first time working with Chloé. During the Kamali era, the model also stepped in front of David Sims’s lens for “à la Plage”, the High Summer 2025 campaign released in summer 2025. Italian business and fashion publication Milano Finanza counts Schiffer among the names referred to as a “friend of the house”, and retail site Retailboss also announces the campaign under the same title.

From sunlit romance to an after-dark mood

In recent years, Chloé’s campaigns had mostly been associated with daylight, the beach and a sense of bohemian lightness. The Festive 2026 shoot deliberately steps outside that habit. According to Hypebae, the collection reinterprets the house’s signature pieces with rich textures, fluid silhouettes and shimmering details, producing a more nocturnal and more sensual version of bohemian femininity. The images were shot in dark interiors that evoke a glittering night out.

In a statement published by Milano Finanza, Kamali explained that she wanted to explore a more nocturnal expression of the Chloé woman. According to the creative director, Schiffer brings this idea to life with her natural poise and lends the campaign a sense of intimacy.

    What is in the images?

The Impression, which publishes campaign reviews, reads the shoot through a predominantly black palette. According to the site, sharply cut black jackets, fluid silk dresses and embellished, shimmering pieces stand out in the images. In one frame Schiffer is seen on a dark sofa in a glittering black look, while in another, loose tailoring and red lipstick draw the eye. White ruffles, lace-trimmed layers, a pleated powder-pink evening gown and a relaxed denim look finished with a chunky gold necklace are also part of the series.

According to the credits shared by The Impression, styling is by Elodie David Touboul, hair by Paul Hanlon, make-up by Yadim and set design by Poppy Bartlett. The site also notes that holiday decorations are barely used, with the festive mood conveyed mainly through the clothes, the gold accessories and the setting.

    A supermodel’s long-running return

In the 1990s, Schiffer’s name became synonymous with the great fashion houses associated with Karl Lagerfeld. Milano Finanza recalls that the model’s relationship with Chloé also dates back to those years, when Lagerfeld was at the helm of the house. Today, the same model is becoming one of the familiar faces of the new era under Chemena Kamali.

Two campaigns in a row show that the house sees Schiffer not as a one-off surprise but as a long-term companion. This continuity, built with the same photographer across different seasons and moods, allows the campaigns to be read as a sequel to one another: the summer campaign tells the story of the sun, the holiday campaign the story of the night.

    Why does it matter?

For the past few seasons, luxury fashion houses have once again been making room in their campaigns for experienced models and the supermodel generation. This choice is seen both as a way of referencing the house’s archive and history and of speaking to customers of different age groups. Chloé’s decision to choose Schiffer as its sole face during a commercially critical period such as the holiday season shows once again that age is no longer as decisive a limit in the modelling world as it once was.

Seen from Türkiye, this picture is a reminder that a modelling career is not confined to the first years on the runway. A strong image, the right agency relationships and trust-based collaborations with brands can bring a model to the centre of campaigns even decades later.
