The CNR Fashionist shows put the new season’s cuts and colours in eveningwear and bridal on display on the runway.
A Breathtaking Fashion Fair at CNR Fashionist
The fair continues until Thursday 21.11.2019, bringing fashion lovers together with one elegant evening gown after another and breathtaking shows.
First of all, many companies that set the direction of the sector took part in this fair. The fair also hosted new collections and modern, elegant designs.
Dresses in eveningwear and bridal styles, each more elegant than the last, were particularly dazzling.
The fair continues at the CNR Expo Istanbul Fair Centre under the name “Eveningwear, Bridal, Groomswear and Fashion Fair – CNR Fashionist”. What’s more, it is organised in cooperation with the Osmanbey Textile Businessmen’s Association (OTİAD) and with the support of KOSGEB (the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation).
Now we leave you with shots from the shows held on Wednesday 20 November.

The next shots feature other brands.

And that brings the shots to an end.
Impressions from the CNR Fashionist shows
The shows were staged on Wednesday 20 November, with eveningwear and bridal brands showing different approaches to evening dress side by side. Names such as Gatsbylady, Jadeprom, Qupra and Sanfiore also appeared on the runway. The fair was held at the CNR Expo Istanbul Fair Centre in cooperation with the Osmanbey Textile Businessmen’s Association (OTİAD) and with the support of KOSGEB.
When choosing eveningwear and a wedding dress
- First of all, choose a length that suits the time and venue of the event. Midi lengths stand out for daytime ceremonies, long styles for evening events.
- Always test how the fabric moves by walking in it during the fitting.
- Keep accessories simple, especially with a style featuring sparkling embellishment.
- When choosing a colour, consider your skin tone and the season of the event together. For example, dark, deep tones work better in winter, while light and pastel colours suit summer.
- Finally, going to your wedding dress fitting in the shoes you will wear on the day ensures the length is adjusted correctly.
In short, fair shows give visitors the chance to see the season’s general trends in a single venue. The CNR Fashionist shows were also a practical way for those looking for eveningwear and bridal to get ideas about cut, fabric and colour. The styles that stood out on the runway in particular showed a wide range together, from long, fluid silhouettes to sparkling embellishment. Finally, you can find shots from the shows in the gallery in this article.
We covered the preparations ahead of the fair’s opening in our pre-fair report. And for those curious about the history of the wedding dress, take a look at the wedding dress entry on Wikipedia, which explains how the white wedding dress became popular after Queen Victoria’s wedding in 1840.
