‘Kith & Kin’, a name that carries the meanings of being together, sharing the same feelings within a community and uniting, highlights in its new season the widespread cultural practice of male violence today. In doing so, it reminds us of the importance of women in public life. It also stresses that all people, without any distinction, have the right to live equal, free and dignified lives simply by virtue of being human.

Defying grey, monotonous routines. The woman who brings colour and life to every room she enters shines in the Kith & Kin collection with two distinct prints.

There is a large floral print adorned with blue, pink and black. There is also a second print of tiny flowers and leaves adorned with yellow, green, orange and black. These prints reflect the designer’s inner world. At the same time, they point to nurturing hope for women.

The Kith&Kin SS 2020 collection also features stretch viscose, cotton, chiffon, stretch cotton satin, silk crepe and silk satin.

Creative direction for the collection was by Burak Tuncel, photography direction by Ozan Kıymaç, production management by Tolga Özgal, styling by Rabia Yaman and choreography by İlke Kılıç. Make-up was by Kryolan and hair by Loreal. The shoes in the studio presentation bear the signature of Makiela Design, complementing the Kith & Kin collection in colour and style.

Pattern and fabric in the Kith & Kin collection
Two distinct prints stand out in the series created for the SS 2020 season. These are large flowers adorned with blue, pink and black, and small flowers and leaves in shades of yellow, green, orange and black. In addition, fabrics such as stretch viscose, cotton, chiffon, silk crepe and silk satin give the collection both fluidity and everyday comfort. The Kith & Kin collection takes a stand with the slogan “Be Aware, Deny, Change”. This stand is against violence towards women.
