The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) held its annual Art+Film Gala for the 15th time on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the museum’s campus in Los Angeles. This year’s honorees were artist Vija Celmins and Denis Villeneuve, director of the Dune films. The evening was co-chaired by museum trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and BLACKPINK star Rosé performed. With Gucci once again the presenting sponsor, much of the red carpet was filled with the house’s designs, especially from its new Demna era.
Guests were photographed among the museum’s iconic Urban Light street lamps. Drawing on official posts from Vogue, W and Harper’s Bazaar and on round-ups by HELLO! and Deadline, we gathered the night’s standout looks and who wore which designer.
Two surprises from the archive
Anya Taylor-Joy: Pierre Cardin from 1997
The most talked-about look of the night belonged to Anya Taylor-Joy, who also starred in Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. The actress brought a silver bridal gown from Pierre Cardin’s haute couture archive, first shown in 1997, to the red carpet. Huge sculptural ruffles running from the shoulders to the hem gave the dress a sci-fi feel; she finished the look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, a diamond necklace and a sleek updo.

Nicole Kidman: ballerina tulle from Chanel
Nicole Kidman arrived with honoree Denis Villeneuve. She wore a dress from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 show, with a layered ivory tulle skirt evoking a ballerina’s tutu and a long-sleeved beige bodice. Black strappy sandals and a high ponytail kept the look clean.

Kim Kardashian

Kylie Jenner: Ashi Studio
Kylie Jenner arrived in custom Ashi Studio couture. The tassel at the back of the body-hugging, fully backless metallic brown gown made the look simple from the front and bold from behind.

Why it matters
The LACMA Art+Film Gala is often called the West Coast’s Met Gala and brings cinema and art to the same table. Two trends stood out this year: silver and sequins were almost everywhere, and archival pieces once again proved the red carpet’s strongest card. Anya Taylor-Joy re-wearing a Pierre Cardin bridal gown nearly three decades old shows that stars are looking not only to the new season but also to fashion houses’ pasts.
Seen from Türkiye, the night is a good example of how a major brand’s long-running partnership with a museum benefits both culture and the brand’s visibility.
